Aiko's Leaves by Kim Tamarin This exquisite necklace, designed by Kim Tamarin, was worn by the wife of the late chairman of Toho Bead Company in their official portrait. Madame Aiko, for whom Toho’s beautiful high-quality cylinder beads are named, wore the necklace proudly as she stood at her husband’s side. The neckband is a spiral of peyote stitch; each Russian-style leaf is worked in a combination of cylinder beads and 15o seed beads. The choice of colors is yours; you can use up small end lots of cylinder beads, or acquire some new colors just for this necklace.
