Tubular Crochet—chain
STEP 2 Start with a slip knot as shown in the photos below, then crochet a chain of six beads.
 
Position the first bead close to the slip knot, then wrap the thread over the hook from back to front, toward you (as shown in the animation below). Catch the wrapped thread in the hook and pull it through the slip knot. Adjust the resulting chain stitch so it is about the same size as the bead.
Make six chains all together with the first six beads; flip the chain around and position it as shown in the diagram on the below, in preparation for the next steps.
