Tubular Crochet—in

STEP 3 Each stitch after the initial chain consists of five steps: IN, OVER, DOWN, AROUND, THROUGH. If you've threaded your beads properly, you will always be crocheting a green bead into a green bead stitch, a purple bead into a purple bead stitch, an aqua bead into an aqua bead stitch, etc. As you're learning, this will make it easier to tell if you're crocheting correctly. If the next bead on your thread is green but the bead you're crocheting into is aqua, you've either crocheted incorrectly or you've misthreaded.

The above animation shows the IN part of the stitch. Insert the hook into the loop that holds the first bead crocheted. Do not pierce the thread with the hook, or put the hook through the hold in the bead.
